Skip the sprays: avoid spraying your dress with perfume or deodorant, as these can stain and degrade the silk.

Handle stains gently: refrain from using water to remove stains and avoid twisting the fabric.

Iron with caution: use low temperatures and iron from the inside.

Hand Washing Guide

If professional dry cleaning isn’t an option, silk can be carefully hand-washed. Be gentle with your dress and follow our guide for the best results.

1. Use a special shampoo for silk or a neutral soap and warm water.
2. Soak your dress in warm water for 3-5 minutes (dark or printed silk should only be washed in cold water)
3. After a maximum of 5 minutes, remove it from the warm water. Handle it carefully, ensuring it isn’t twisted or wrung, as silk is very fragile when wet.
4. Soak and rinse the fabric in cold water with a teaspoon of wine vinegar to remove the soap residue completely.
5. Wrap your dress in a towel to absorb excess water. Then, stretch the corners of the fabric so it lies flat while drying.


Ironing Tips

Proper ironing can help maintain your dress’s sleek appearance and restore its original smoothness after washing or storage. This delicate fabric needs a gentle approach when ironing.

1. Always iron on the inside of the fabric to protect its delicate surface.
2. For best results, silk should preferably be moist when ironing.
3. Iron with low-temperature settings, as silk is fragile.
